Silver Sneakers

You can verify eligibility through your health insurance provider by calling the 1-800 number on the back of your health insurance card or by  clicking here. If you are eligible and need to enroll, please visit a YMCA location in person with a photo ID. If you have received a Silver Sneakers card with your 16 digit Tivity Health ID, please bring that with you.

To enroll, you will need to first confirm your eligibility. Next, please bring your photo ID to one of the Alamance County YMCA to begin your membership. If you have received your Silver Sneakers card with your Tivity Health ID, please bring that with you when you join.

Silver Sneakers memberships are offered at the Alamance County YMCA, but not all YMCA participate in this program.

Your YMCA membership is paid for by your insurance provider. If at any time your eligibility ends with Silver Sneakers, the YMCA will never switch your membership to a dues-paying membership without your consent.

You are not required to visit the Alamance County YMCA a specific amount of times for your monthly membership cost to be covered. However, we’d love to see you at the YMCA as often as possible! If your membership goes unused for 6 months, your membership may be subject to termination. However, you can re-enroll in the  YMCA with continued proof of eligibility.

A credit or debit card is NOT required to be on file for the Silver Sneakers membership. However, having a card on file does make registering for programs and activities easier.

To enroll, you will just need your photo ID and your Tivity Health ID.
